TD Garden has been home of the Boston Celtics since 1995. TD Garden has had several name changes before becoming TD Garden in 2010. It was called Shawmut Center in 1995, FleetCenter from 1995 to 2005 and TD Banknorth Center between 2005 and 2009. The Boston Celtics share TD Garden with the National Hockey League Boston Bruins.
TD Garden is easily accessible by public transit and is recommended since parking is both expensive and scarce in the arena area. Transit service is provided by MBTA.
Before the arena now called TD Garden opened the Bruins and Celtics played in Boston Garden.
