Staples Center has been home of the Los Angeles Clippers since 1999. The Clippers share Staples Center with the National Hockey League Kings and the NBA Lakers.
Staples Center is located just south of downtown Los Angeles. There is a Blue Line light rail station nearby.
The Clippers played in Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena before moving to Staples Center.

In 1970, the National Basketball Association granted three new franchises. The three franchises were the Cleveland Cavaliars, Portland Trail Blazers and Buffalo Braves.
The Buffalo Braves moved to San Diego in 1978 and became the Clippers. The Clippers then moved to Los Angeles in 1984.
The franchise has never played in the National Basketball Association Championship Final Series.
2012 NBA Playoffs
The Clippers qualified for the playoffs as the #4 seed in the Western Conference. They defeated the #5 seed Memphis Grizzlies in the conference quarterfinals and they lost to the #1 seed San Antonio Spurs in the conference semifinals.
2013 NBA Playoffs
The Los Angeles Clippers won the Pacific Division in the 2012-13 NBA Season and qualified for the playoffs as the #4 seed and were defeated by the #5 seed Memphis Grizzlies in the first round.
The Clippers qualified one other time for the NBA playoffs before 2012 since moving to Los Angeles from San Diego. The 2006 team defeated the Denver Nuggets in the first round and lost to the Phoenix Suns in the Conference Semifinals.
