Energy Solutions Arena has been home of the Utah Jazz since the arena opened in 1991. The Arena was named Delta Center from 1991 until 2006 when it was renamed Energy Solutions Arena. Before moving in 1991 the Utah Jazz played in the Salt Palace beginning in 1979.

In 11974 the National Basketball Association awarded a new franchises to the New Orleans Jazz. The Jazz moved to Salt Lake City 1979.
The Utah Jazz made the NBA playoffs in 1984 for the first time.
The Utah Jazz made the NBA Finals two years in a row. They were defeated by the Chicago Bulls in both 1997 and 1998.
2012 NBA Playoffs
The Jazz qualified for the playoffs as the #8 seed in the Western Conference. They were defeated by the #1 seed San Antonio Spurs in the conference quarterfinals.
