The Orlando Magic moved to the new Amway Center when it was completed in 2010. From 1989 they played in Orlando Arena which had several different names while the Magic played there. From 1989 to 1999 the arena was called Orlando Arena. The name was changed to TD Waterhouse Centre in 1999 and Anway Arena in 2006.

In 1987, the National Basketball Association granted four new franchises. The four franchises were the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic.
NBA Final Appearances
The Orlando Magic have made it to the NBA Finals two times. The last final appearance was in 2009 when they were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers four games to one. In 1995 they were swept by the Houston Rockets.
2011 NBA Playoffs
The Orlando Magic qualified for the 2011 NBA Playoffs. They were defeated in the first round by the Atlanta Hawks 4 games to 2.
2012 NBA Playoffs
The Magic qualified for the playoffs as the #6 seed in the Eastern Conference. They were defeated by the #3 seed Indiana Pacers in the conference quarterfinals.
