Barclays Center will be the home of the Nets beginning the 2012-13 NBA season. Prudential Center in Newark New Jersey was the home of the Nets for two seasons. They shared Prudential Center with the National Hockey Association New Jersey Devils.
Both the Nets and Devils played in the Meadowlands before moving to Newark.

Brooklyn Nets History
The Brooklyn Nets were named the New Jersey Nets before the 2012-2013 season. The New York Nets were in the American Basketball Association and were one of four teams from the ABA that merged with NBA in 1976 and changed their name to the New Jersey Nets. The other three teams that became members of the NBA were the Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs.
2013 NBA Playoffs
The Brooklyn Nets qualified for the playoffs as the #4 seed and were defeated by the #5 seed Chicago Bulls in the first round.
NBA Final Appearances
The New Jersey Nets have played in the NBA Finals two times and were defeated both times. The last appearance was in 2003 when they were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs four games to two.
